If your car and van have the 12 pin plugs then the video
feed (yellow) can be run through this as you will need
only 1 pin for the video signal (and preferably one plug
for the earth)
The methodology is simple as the camera is connected to
the unit via the RCA connections. Once you know
the image is ok then you run the signal via your
existing 12 pin cable. The camera will be powered
from the existing wiring.
If you have the standard round 7 pin connection you will
not have any spare pins and so you will need to run a
separate spiral cable for this.
