Using a ByPass cable or Fibre Optic

For many European vehicles fitted with an amplifier there are 2 options being Fibre Optic or Amplifier bypass

Pros / Cons

The bypass is cheaper to purchase but more timely/costly to install
It uses a newer amplifier built into the stereo
It will allow fading from front to back
Midrange may be compromised.


The Fibre optic is more expensive but quicker to install
It does not allow fading from front to back
Uses the factory amp and will drive all speakers
