What is the difference between the
Professional and Standard units
The screens (pads) are all made to
fit either the 9" or 10" housings and so the externals are the same.
It is the internals which change not slightly but dramatically.
The cheaper screens will have USB but if you try to power phones or run an
external device like DAB+ or TPMS or even a Apple Carplay / Android Auto dongle
then he screen suffers, They start to overheat and the screen may freeze
up as they just do not cope. Most of the cheap screens on the market are
1gb of Rom and 16gb of RAM. Some suppliers may trick these up using
software to show they are 2/32 - they are not. Some may show the
latest Android, again they are not. The good side is they are cheap, they
work with inbuilt GPS and radio, reversing camera and so they are good for car
yards who wish to move a car out. They are not geared toward and end user.
The professional screens sold here are 4/32GB or most are 4/64GB. They are lightning fast.
They have internal Wireless Apple Carplay and Wireless Android Auto available. They come with 2USB and a third is available for buyers who select USB devices
They use a True Digital Signal Processor for superior sound quality.
We only supply recognized CANBUS interfaces and so no damage will be done to
your cars computer.
They are preloaded with Ozi Explorer and mapping (will need a $35 license
purchase). These are geared toward the car owner who is going to
keep the car more than a few months.
